What is the idea?

The idea is simple: I was fascinated about the success of The Million Dollar Homepage and thought there must be a way to make a project like this but more attractive for advertisers. I think a problem of The Million Dollar Homepage is, all pixels are sold and no one is interested to visit the page now. Because of that, i wanted to give the visitors a reason to come back to the page or to refer new visitors to the page.

And here it is, my version of a Pixel-Homepage. I sell 2 million pixels for 3 different prices. And the money i make with it should partially be used to make this page succesfull and to one of the most linked pages in de internet. So i decidet to make a competition. The Million Dollar Competition !The visitors can register for free and will get a Ref-Link with that they can refer new visitors to this page. So they have the chance to win the $1,000,000 ! Because of that competition, there should be a high amount of links refering to this page. That will result in a high traffic and a good pagerank for google. So the advertising on this page will be a profitable solution for any advertiser, site admin and company.
For persons with a small amount of money to spend, i decided to make a Gold Homepage section. Webmaster can purchase this advert place with a sms-payment and a small amount of money.

What is the difference to the Million Dollar Homepage?

The basic idea is the same, both pages sell pixels in blocks (10x10). But that's all.
This page sell 2,000,000 pixels for more than $1 per pixel because i need more than $1,000,000. I have started my own company in germany, so i have to pay taxes and the prices for all the Ref-Winners. Also i have planed to translate the page in many other languages.

The biggest difference is, that this page not only sells the pixels. The Million Dollar Competition offers the visitors a way to win up to $1,000,000. Because of that it should become one of the most linked an visited pages in the internet. I want everyone to talk about this page and refer his friends and other internet users to this page.

Why should I buy your pixels?

You should buy my pixels, because you will have an image and a link to your page on the homepage of a site that could be one of the most linked pages in the internet and be seen by millions of people all over the world. I guarantee the site will be online for at least 5 years, but my idea is to keep it online forever and make more competitions on it in the feature. So it would be visited for many years and be a part of internet history!

Why can't I buy a single pixel?

The answer is quit simple: One single pixel is to small.
When the page would have 2,000,000 single pixles, it won't be possible to click a specific pixel. And there would be now viewable grafics to display. So it would be chaotic and no real advertising.

How can i win the $1,000,000?

To win the $1,000,000 you only have to register an account for free. That you can do here !!!
After the registration you will get your own Ref-Link that looks like this: http://www.million-dollar-competition.com/index.php?ref=1

You should refer as many visitors to the page as possible. So just link it where ever you can. On your homepages, in communitys as your homepage or signature, in your email-signature, in your blog and so on. Give the links to your friends and tell them about this page. The more visitors register with your link, the greater is your chance to win the $1,000,000.
